1. Meeting called to order at 7:03pm.
2. Consider minutes of the meeting of January 14, 2013.
Minutes approved unanimously after a motion to approve by Sherri McCandless and a
second by Glenn Jensen.
3. Consider, Discuss, and Possibly Make an Action on the Final Plat of Lot 1R, Block 15
DATCU-Sanger Addition. Being a Re-Plat of a Portion of Block 15, J.R. Sullivan West
Addition, Recorded in Volume 75, Page 480, Deed Records and Being 1.246 Acres in the
Ruben Bebee Survey Abstract 29, City of Sanger, Denton County, Texas.
Per Joseph Iliff all members have a copy of the plat and will be able to see this is not a
subdivision but rather a replat of a leftover lot since all other properties have been platted
out of Block 15. City Staff have reviewed the plat and all are recommending the
commission approve. Motion made to approve final plat as written by Mark McNeal with a
Sherri McCandless and approved unanimously.
4. Conduct a public hearing regarding a Specific Use Permit to move a snow cone stand
(Sno2Go) into a 770 square feet (approximate) paved area of the Northeast Corner of the
parking lot located at 701 N. Stemmons. The subject property is a portion of the property
legally described as A1241a Tierwester, Tr 126, 1.806 Acres, Old Dcad Sht 4, Tr 2.
Public Hearing Opened.
Bobby Hughes – Sno2Go has installed all new siding, roof, and other
improvements. They have already raised and donated over $2,000.00 to the
Sanger public schools and look forward to being very involved in the
community.
Stand is already in location pending approval.
Specific Use Permit will only be in effect until building is moved.
Commissioner Jensen has concerns about building becoming a type of
permanent building and failing to comply once opened.
Public Hearing Closed.
5. Consider, Discuss, and Possibly Act regarding a Specific Use Permit to move a snow cone
stand (Sno2Go) into a 770 square feet (approximate) paved area of the Northeast Corner of
the parking lot located at 701 N. Stemmons. The subject property is a portion of the
property legally described as A1241a Tierwester, Tr 126, 1.806 Acres, Old Dcad Sht 4, Tr
Motion made to accept the SUP and recommend approval to City Council by Joe Higgs and
seconded by Mark McNeal. Motion passed with a 4-1 vote and the opposition coming
from Glen Jensen. Motion carried.
6. Allen Chick has been appointed to City Council. The process has begun to look for a
replacement for that seat as well as a reminder that odd seats are coming up this year.
