1. Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm.
2. Determine Presence of a Quorum and Seating of Alternates.
Matt Fuller was seated as the alternate.
3. Pledge.
4. Consider and Possibly Adopt Minutes of the Meeting of September 11, 2017.
Commissioner Hensley made a motion to approve the minutes. Commissioner McCandless seconded.
The motion passed unanimously.
5. Consider, Discuss and Act on the Preliminary Plat of the Sable Creek Addition Phase III, Being
17.865 Acres in the R. Bebee Survey, Abstract No. 29, Generally Located South of FM 455, North
of McReynolds Road and West of Sable Creek Phases I and II.
Alina Ciocan, Director of Economic & Community Development presented this item. Commissioner
McCandless made a motion to approve the plat as presented. Commissioner Surles seconded. Motion
passed unanimously.
6. Consider, Discuss and Act on the Final Plat of the Sable Creek Addition Phase III, Being 17.865
Acres in the R. Bebee Survey, Abstract No. 29, Generally Located South of FM 455, North of
McReynolds Road and West of Sable Creek Phases I and II.
Alina Ciocan, Director of Economic & Community Development presented this item. Commissioner
McCandless made a motion to approve the plat as presented. Commissioner Surles seconded. Motion
passed unanimously.

7. Conduct a Public Hearing Regarding a Proposed Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan and
Future Land Use Map to Change Two Tracts of Land Being Approximately 0.329 Acres and 1.240
Acres From Commercial Use to Industrial Use. The Subject Properties are Generally Located
South of FM 455 and East of Acker Street.
Alina Ciocan, Director of Economic & Community Development provided a brief presentation of this
item. The public hearing was open at 7:11 pm. Mr. Louis Chenault (applicant) gave a presentation of
his project that is related to the proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan and Future Land Use
Map. No other public input was received. The public hearing was closed at 7:15 pm.
8. Consider, Discuss and Act on a Proposed Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan and Future Land
Use Map to Change Two Tracts of Land Being Approximately 0.329 Acres and 1.240 Acres From
Commercial Use to Industrial Use. The Subject Properties are Generally Located South of FM
455 and East of Acker Street.
A discussion ensued amongst commissioners and the applicant regarding the proposed amendment.
Commissioner Surles made a motion to approve the amendment. Commissioner McCandless
seconded. Motion carried. Commissioner Fuller voted against.
9. Conduct a Public Hearing Regarding a Request to Rezone Two Tracts of Land Being
Approximately 0.329 Acres and 1.240 Acres From B-2 Business District to I-1 Industrial District.
The Subject Properties are Generally Located South of FM 455 and East of Acker Street.
Alina Ciocan, Director of Economic & Community Development provided a brief presentation. The
public hearing was open at 7:26 p.m. There was no public input. The public hearing was closed at 7:28
p.m.
10. Consider, Discuss and Act on a Request to Rezone Two Tracts of Land Being Approximately 0.329
Acres and 1.240 Acres From B-2 Business District to I-1 Industrial District. The Subject Properties
are Generally Located South of FM 455 and East of Acker Street.
Commissioner McCandless made a motion to recommend approval of the rezoning request.
Commissioner Surles seconded. Motion carried. Commissioner Fuller voted against.
11. Consider, Discuss and Act on the Final Plat of the R-L Carriers Addition, Being 83.225 Acres of
Land, Generally Located East of IH-35 and North of View Road.
This item was withdrawn by the applicant.
