ORDINANCE 04-12-22
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, DENTON
COUNTY, TEXAS, (VENDOR AMENDMENT #1) AMENDING THE FEE SCHEDULE,
APPENDIX A, FEE SCHEDULE, SECTION 7.700 VENDORS FEES AND ADDING
SECTION 7.70, SPECIAL EVENT VENDORS FFESa PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING A CUMULATIVE CLAUSE;
PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE; AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sanger (the "City") is a home rule municipality regulated by state
law and Charter; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Ordinance 7.700 adopting the vendor fee for the
2020-2021 Fiscal Year on September 21, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanger wishes to allow additional opportunities for a vendor to
participate in community events; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanger has considered the costs associated with the regulated
vendor who seeks to sell food, drinks, or merchandise; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanger has determined that the fees proposed are sufficient to
cover the City's expenses; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the passage -Phi s Ordinance is in the best interest
of the citizens of Sanger.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANGER, TEXAS AMENDS
SECTION 1. That Section 7.700 be amended as follows:
7.700 Vendors
(a) Vendors utilizing City property, not related to aCity-sponsored special event, shall be
required to obtain a permit from the director of parks and recreation and a $100 fee.
7.701 Special Event Vendors be added to state: Vendors utilizing City property for aCity-
sponsored special event. Shall be required to obtain a permit from the director of parks and
recreation and be subject to the following fee schedule.

(a) 1Ox10 food booth is set to $65;
(b) 1Ox20 food booth is $85;
(c) 1Oxl0 merchandise booth space is $50;
(d) 1 Ox20 merchandise booth space is $65.
(e) Booth space for non-food items that require no exchange of money is $25 for a 1Oxl0
booth space.
SECTION 2. Vendor fee schedule during the 2021-2022 Fiscal Year shall be made in accordance
with the amended ordinance approved herein unless otherwise authorized by a duly enacted
ordinance of the City and said vendor fee schedule document shall be on file for public inspection
in the office of the City Secretary.
SECTION 3. That all matters stated in -the preamble are found to be true and correct
and are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
SECTION 4. It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council that the sections,
paragraphs, sentences, clauses, phrases, and words of this Ordinance are severable and, if any
word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section of this Ordinance shall be declared
unconstitutional by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such
unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining portions of this Ordinance, since the same
would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this Ordinance or any
such unconstitutional word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section.
SECTION 5. That this Ordinance shall be cumulative of all other City Ordinances and all other
provisions of other Ordinances adopted by the City which are inconsistent with the terms or
provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. This ordinance will take effect immediately from and after its passage and the
publication of the caption, as the law and Charter in such case provides.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Sanger, Texas, on this
