Chairman Carolyn Frazier called the meeting to order. Members present were. Flizabeth Higgs, Alice
Madden, Jeanice Newton, guest Peggy Sanford.
Minutes were distributed and approved.
Mrs. Higgs gave the Treasurers report: Budget $2000, Deferred Revenue Account $2900, Deposits for
August $3315, September $2985 from Abitibi.
Mrs. Frazier presented pictures of lights that were available through TexDot for the exit 477 wall mural.
It was decided to contact Pat Haigh with TexDot for more specific information. Mrs. Frazier will report
back to the committee.
Fall decorations for the City Park were discussed. Twelve bundles of corn stalks have been ordered.
Pumpkins, ribbons and four scarecrows will be purchased. The date for decorating the park is October I.
November 13 will be the City-wide garage sale recognizing Recycle Day. Participants must register with
the City Police.
The Christmas Tour of Homes was cancelled due to lack of participation.
Mrs. Frazier announced Keep Texas Beautiful Training will be November 9, 10,11.
Mrs. Higgs moved the meeting be adjourned. Mrs. Newton seconded the motion. The motion passed.
