AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS,
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING
CHAPTER 4, SECTION 4.203(c) AND SECTION 4.205 AND BY
AMENDING ARTICLE 15.000 OF THE FEE SCHEDULE;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SANGER:
SECTION 1:
SECTION 4 203(c) OF CHAPTER 4 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES SHALL READ AS FOLLOWS:
(c) Licenses issued under this article shall be valid for a period of seven (7) days from the
date of issuance.

(e) Any persons issued a license under the terms of this article must display said license at
all times during which the person is engaging the activity described in subsection (a) above.

SECTION 4,205 OF CHAPTER 4 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES SHALL READ AS FOLLOWS:
§ 4.205 License Fee
Prior to the issuance of a license under this article, a fee shall be paid by the applicant as
provided for in the fee schedule found in Article 15.000 of the Appendix of this Code.
When any person, firm, company, partnership, corporation or association engages in any
activity mentioned in this article through one (1) or more agents or employees, such
person, firm, company, partnership, corporation, or association shall in addition to the fee
mentioned above, pay an additional fee as provided for in the fee schedule for each agent or
employee so engaged.

§ 4.207 Hours and Days Regulated
It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person to go from house to house or from place to
place in the City of Sanger soliciting, selling or taking orders for any goods, wares,
merchandise, services, photographs, magazines, newspapers, or subscriptions to
newspapers or magazines, except during the hours from 9:00 a,m, until 6:00 p.m. on
Monday through Saturday. Such activity is prohibited during all hours on Sundays,
SECTION V:
The fee for the issuance of a license for an itinerant merchant, peddler and/or vender shall
be Fifty Dollars ($50,00); provided however, when any person, firm, company,
partnership, corporation or association engages in any activity mentioned in Article 4,200,
such person, firm, company, partnership, corporation or association shall, in addition to
the Fifty Dollar ($50.00) fee mentioned above, pay a license fee of ($10.00) for each agent
or employee so engaged, all of which licenses shall be valid for a period of seven. (7) days
from the date of issuance. Each vehicle and/or seperate location shall constitute a seperate
permit. Charitable organizations and/or their representatives are hereby required to obtain
permits as herein provided, but the fee may be waived at the discretion of the City
Secretary. Should the applicant be engaged in the sale of food or food products, an
additional fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00) shall be required for the issuance of a City health
permit,
SECTION VI:
SEVE ABILITY
If aLiYy scction, subsection, paragraph, centence, clause, phrase, or word in this Ordinance.,
or application thereof to any person or circumstances, is held invalid by a court of
competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of the Ordinance, and the City Council hereby declares that it would have passed such
remaining portions of the Ordinance despite such invalidity.
SECTION VII:
r,ON'FLIC:TINC PROVISIONS
Any and all Ordinances of the City of Sanger heretofore adopted which are in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby expressly repealed insofar as the same are in conflict therewith,

EFFECTIVE DATE
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately, from and after its passage and publication of
the caption, as the law in such cases provides.
