09-93-Ordinance-mending Chapter 10, One Way Streets-08/16/1993CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS ORDINANCE NO. # 0 9 -9 3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS THROUGH THE ADDITION OF PROVISIONS REGARDING ONE-WAY STREETS AND THE DESIGNATION THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS WI­IEREAS, the City of Sanger has previously regulated certain streets within the City by designating such streets as one-way streets; and WHEREAS, said regulations were not included in the Code of Ordinances as adopted by the City Council on August 3, 1992; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS: Section I. That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sanger, Texas, be amended and the same is hereby amended by the addition of Article 10.1100 to Chapter 10 of said Code, said Article to read as follows: "ARTICLE 10.1100 DESIGNATION OF ONE-WAY STREETS The following streets are hereby designated as one-way streets to the extent set forth hereinbelow: STREET Service (frontage) Road on east side on Interstate Highway #35 East Service (frontage) Road on west side of Interstate Highway #35 East EXTENT From the southernmost North city limits of the City of Sanger to the northernmost city limits of the City of Sanger From the southernmost city Emits of the City of Sanger to the northernmost city limits of the City of Sanger Section II. DIRECTION North South" That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. Section III. That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or word in this Ordinance, or application thereof to any person or circumstances, is held invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of the Ordinance, and the City Council hereby declares that it would have passed such remaining portions of the Ordinance despite such invalidity, Section IV. Whenever in this Ordinance an act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful or an offense or a misdemeanor, or wherever in such Ordinance the doing of an act is required or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, the violation of any such provision shall be punished by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00); provided, however, that not penalty shall be greater or less than the penalty provided for the same or similar offense under the laws of the State of Texas. Each day any violation of this Ordinance shall continue shall constitute a separate offense. Section V. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately, from and after its passage and publication of the caption, as the law in such cases provides.
