AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS AMENDING
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BY REPEALING CERTAIN ANIMAL
CONTROL PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND
CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE FOR THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sanger contains conflicting provisions
with regard to the quarantine of animals,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANGER, TEXAS:
Section 1. Conflicting Provision Repealed. That Chapter 2, Article 2.1000(b) of the City
of Sanger Code of Ordinances shall hereafter be repealed.
Section 2. Severability. That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause,
phrase, or word in this Ordinance, or application thereof to any person or circumstances, is
held invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity
of the remaining portions of the Ordinance, and the City Council of the City of Sanger
hereby declares that it would have passed such remaining portions of the Ordinance despite
such invalidity.
Section 3. Conflicting Provisions. That any and all Ordinances of the City of Sanger
heretofore adopted which are in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby expressly repealed
insofar as the same are in conflict therewith.
Section 4. Effective Date. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately, from and after
its passage and publication of the caption, as the law in such cases provides.
