ORDINANCE NO. 16 - 9 5
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, PROVIDING
FOR THE REGULATION OF AREA IN AND AROUND THE NEW
ATHLETIC FACILITY; PROHIBITING SKATEBOARDS, SKATES,
BICYCLES, PETS, NARCOTICS, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, GLASS
CONTAINERS, WEAPONS OR UNAUTHORIZED MOTOR VEHICLES;
PROHIBITING THE UNAUTHORIZED USE OF THE FOOTBALL
FIELD; REGULATING USE OF THE TRACK FOR WALKING;
REQUIRING SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN USING THE FACILITY;
PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS; PROVIDING FOR THE
SEVERABILITY OF THIS ORDINANCE AND ANY CONFLICTING
PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR THIS
ORDINANCE.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS:
A. That the following regulations shall be enforced at Stephen Baker Field (hereinafter,
the facility):
1. No skateboards, roller blades, or bicycles shall be allowed in the facility.
2. No pets shall be allowed in the facility.
3. No narcotics or alcoholic beverages shall be allowed in the facility.
4. No glass containers shall be allowed in the facility.
5. No weapons of any kind shall be allowed the facility.
6. No unauthorized motor vehicles shall be allowed on the playing field or track at
the facility.
7. There shall be no unauthorized use of the football field playing surface at the
facility.
8. Persons exercising at the facility shall walk on the outside lanes of the track and
shall wear appropriate shoes.

9. All children using the facility shall be supervised by a responsible adult.
10. Smoking and use of tobacco products prohibitediexcept in designated axvaas.
B. That appropriate signage of sufficient size and in a conspicuous location shall be
located and mainted in the facility stating the relevant terms of this Ordinance and citing
same.

Any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this Ordinance
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in accordance with
the general penalty provision found in Chapter 1, Article 1.100, Section 1.106 of this
code.
III. SSEVERABILITY OF ORDINANCE
If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or word in this Ordinance,
or application thereof to any person or circumstances, is held invalid by a court of
competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of the Ordinance, and the City Council of the City of Sanger hereby declares that it would
have passed such remaining portions of the Ordinance despite such invalidity.
IV. CONFLICTING PROVISIONS
Any and all Ordinances of the City of Sanger heretofore adopted which are in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby expressly repealed insofar as the same are in conflict
therewith.
V. EFFECTIVE DATE
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately, from and after its passage and publication
of the caption, as the law in such cases provides.
