ORDINANCE NO. 12-96A
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE
BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS, AND
GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL FUTURE INHABITANTS
OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER
CITIZENS AND BINDING SAID FUTURE INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE
ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, a public hearing before the governing body of the City of Sanger, Texas, where all
interested persons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the territory proposed to be
annexed;
WHEREAS, notices of such public hearing was published in a newspaper having general
circulation in the City on October 3, 1996 and October 24, 1996 which dates are not more than
twenty nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearings;
WHEREAS, said territory is owned by the City of Sanger and is contiguous to the city limits;
WHEREAS, said territory contains 0.918 acres; and
WHEREAS, after hearing arguments for and against the same, the governing body, by a majority
vote, has approved such annexation of said territory into the city.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF
SANGER, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the following described territory is hereby annexed into the City, and that the
boundary limits of the City of Sanger are hereby extended to include said territory within the city
limits and the same shall hereafter be included within the territorial limits of said City, and said
land and the fiiture inhabitants thereof shall hereafter be entitled to all rights and privileges of
other citizens of the city and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said city.
ALL THAT CERTAIN TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND SITUATED IN THE
REUBEN BEBEE ABSTRACT NO.29, TRACT 61, BEING 0.918 ACRES, THE
SUBJECT TRACT BEING LOCATED ON MCREYNOLDS ROAD, DENTON
COUNTY, TEXAS.

COMMENCING at the southwest corner of said 25.23-acre tract, said point also
being in the north right-of-way of McReynolds road (county), said point also
being West, 445.65 feet, ore or less, from the southeast corner of the Sanger
Cemetery;
THENCE North 01 ° 19'20" West, 200.00 feet, more or less, along the west line of
said 25.23-acre tract, to the PLACE OF BEGINNING;
THENCE North 010 19'20" West, 200.00 feet, along the west line of said 25.23-
acre tract, to a point for corner;
THENCE North 88040'40" East, 200.00 feet, to a point for corner;
THENCE South 01019'20" East, 200.00 feet, to a point for corner;
THENCE South 88040'40" West, 200.00 feet, to the PLACE OF BEGINNING,
and containing 0.918 acres, more or less.
Section 2: That the city secretary is hereby directed to file with the county clerk and other
appropriate officials and agencies, as required by state and federal law and city annexation
procedures, a certified copy of this ordinance.
PASSED by an affirmative vote of the City Council Governing Body of the City of Sanger, this
18th day of November, 1996.
