Re: Open Meeting Training
This training video is a 2 hour session which includes Open Records and Open Meetings. We will
view the Open Meetings tonight then schedule another time to view the second part.
This is a requirement and at the end of the video there will be a website that you will need to access
to get your certification.
Please mark your calendars for Thursday, February 16`b at 6:OOpm. Dinner will be served at this
meeting.

1. Call Meeting to Order.
Mayor Joe Higgs called meeting to order. Councilman Patton led Invocation,
Councilman Mike Walker led the Pledge of Allegiance.
2. Open Meetings Training Session 6:00-7:00 P.M.
Nineteen Members attended the Open Meetings Training. This is a required training
for every Member on a Board. There were several members from Planning and
Zoning and Board of Adjustment in attendance for this workshop.
3. Consider and Possible Action on Appointing aThree-Person Committee to Review the
City Charter.
Councilman James suggested the following people:
Beverly Howard
John Springer
Polly Dwyer
Lengthy Discussion concerning possibly having new people on the committee instead of the
same people as the last.
Councilman James made motion to appoint Beverly Howard, John Springer, Polly Dwyer
to review the City Charter. Seconded by Councilman Walker. Motion accepted
unanimously.
