City Manager discussed proposed budget.
Discussed General Fund Revenues.
Discussed Franchise Fees.
Discussed Tax Revenues.
Discussed Police Department Budget.
Discussed TEC and Workers Comp in the Police Budget.
Discussed Motor Vehicles in the Police Department.
Councilman Evans indicated that if a 5% raise was granted by the Council, and the
individual department heads did not use the total 5%, could they use that money to
purchase other items.
City Secretary explained that budget amendments could be made.
Discussed salaries.
Discussed contractual services.
Discussed Animal Control Budget.
Discussed Fire Department Budget,
Discussed Municipal Court Budget.
Discussed Code Enforcement Budget.

Councilman Ervin indicated he wanted to see sidewalks repaired and put in some areas
of town.
Discussion regarding sidewalks in new subdivisions.
Discussed Parks Budget.

Discussed Vehicle Maintenance.
Discussed Sullivan Center Budget.
Discussed Library Budget.
Discussed Community Center Budget.
City Manager explained Tax Service, Health Service and Ambulance Service really
cannot be adjusted. These are the costs of these services.

Discussed salaries.
Lengthy Discussion continued regarding salaries
Councilman James would like to see a 2% cost of living increase and a possible 3%
performance increase.
Councilman Ervin indicated he liked 2.5%for cost of living and 2.5%for performance.
Councilman Garza indicated he agreed with Councilman Ervin.
Councilman Evans indicated he will not vote for the budget and indicated he did not
want to increase expenditures.
Consensus of the Council to go with a 2.5% cost of living increase and a possible 2.5%
for performance.
