August.2, 2004. b) Disbursements Motion made by Councilman Ervin to approve Consent Agenda. Seconded by Councilman Lawler. Motion carried unanimously.. 3. Citizen's Input. Dorothy Nubine of 301 E. Willow addressed council in regards to the creek behind her house. Water stands in her yard, and she has had mosquitos and dead birds on her porch. The Mayor indicated he will check into the problem. Jan Looper addressed City Council in regards to a drainage problem at 663 Rising Star. City Manager indicated that he has discussed this problem with the City Engineer and he is working on it. Gary Vickery from Denton County is also aware of the problem and they are reviewing the situation concerning the drainage. City Manager indicated that as soon as he gets a report from the engineer she will be contacted. Mrs. Looper indicated she would get back with the City in a week. 4. Conduct First Public Hearing on the Following Proposed Annexations: A. ABSTRACT 725, S.F. LYNCH, SURVEY TRACT 14A, BEING 44.3076 ACRES, OLD DENTON COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT TRACT lA(1). B. Ed Ding, Public Finance -Government Capital Corporation), gave a brief overview of Government Capital Corporation project summary there are a NASD and SEC regulated Public Finance firm providing complete and professional financing services to state and local governmental entities. • Automation of Meter Reading Systemto include new water meters. • Automation technology will allow the water department to read meters from a vehicle while driving at posted speeds.
