1. Mayor Called Meeting to Order.
2. Discuss Possible Ordinance Designating a Certain Area as the Sanger Tax Abatement
Reinvestment Zone No. 1, and Guidelines and Criteria for Tax Abatements to
Qualified Commercial/Industrial Projects, and a Tax Abatement Agreement Between
the City of Sanger and Walmart Stores East Inc.

City Manager indicated in order for the city to give a tax abatement they must first
establish a reinvestment zone, and the entity you want to give the abatement to, must
be in that zone. The first document will designate the area where Walmart is. The
second document is guidelines for the criteria, and Council needs to give direction on
what they want to set as the criteria.
City Manager indicated the Tax Abatement Agreement must be worked out with
Walmart.
Discussion regarding the Ordinance and tax abatements.
Council made changes to the documents.
Meeting Adjourned.
