10-26-00-Ordinance-Amending Streets Paving and Width Requirements-12/04/2000CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS ORDINANCE No. #10-26-00 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANGER, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 9, SECTION 6(C)(1) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES; CITY OF SANGER; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED AND ORDERED by the City Council of the City of Sanger Texas: That Chapter 9, Section 6(C)(1) of the Code of Ordinances, City of Sanger, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION I C. Paving Width Requirements (1) Residential Streets, Collector Streets, and Alleys Residential street paving shall be a minimum of thirty feet (30') in width, measured between the faces of curbs. Collector street paving around schools shall be a minimum of thirty six feet (36') in width, measured between the faces of the curbs. The width for collector streets in industrial and commercial areas must be a minimum of forty feet (40') in width, measured between the faces of the curbs. Alley paving shall be ten feet (10') wide in residential areas and twenty feet (20') wide in commercial and industrial areas. Alley turnouts shall be paved to the property line and shall be at least two feet (2') wider than the alley paving at that point. Paving radius where alleys intersect residential and collector streets shall be ten feet (10') and where alleys intersect thoroughfare streets the radius shall be fifteen feet (15'). Paving radius shall be twenty-five feet (25') where alleys intersect one another. SECTION II All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION III It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses, and phrases of this Ordinance are severable and, if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section of this Ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional by the valid judgement or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, and sections of this Ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this Ordinance of any such unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section. SECTION IV This Ordinance will take effect immediately after its passage and the publication of the caption as the law in such cases provides.
