Councilman James leading the Pledge of Allegiance.
2. Consider and Possible Action to Appoint Committee Members to Evaluate the Merits of the Landfill/Golf
Course Project with IESI.
Motion was made by Councilwoman Madden to Rescind the Action Agreeing to Appoint a Committee.
Seconded by Councilman Ervin.
Councilman Kincaid indicated there were several people who have called him who want to be on this
committee. Councilman Kincaid asked Council if they really wanted to take this action since some
citizens were for and some were against the Committee.
Councilwoman Madden stated this is what she would like to do.
Councilman Ervin indicated the same.
Councilman Jenkins indicated that what Councilman Kincaid indicated was not the question. There
was a motion, and a second on the floor. He stated there should not be a discussion. Councilman
Jenkins expressed that the does not have a feeling that the number of people who might have called
wanting to be on this committee should have a bearing on whether or not they do or don't have the
committee.
