10/03/1994-CC-Minutes-Regular1i1111*1 U I City Council Meeting October 3, 1994 MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Nel Armstrong, Councilwoman Margie Braxton, Councilman Joe Bell, Councilman Jack Richardson, Councilman Jerry Jenkins and Councilman Tommy Kincaid OTHERS PRESENT: City Administrator John Hamilton, City Secretary Rosalie Chavez, and Chief of Police Benny Erwin 1. Mayor Armstrong called the meeting to order, gave the invocation which was followed by the pledge to the flag. 2. CONSENT AGENDA: a}. Approve Minutes b). Resolution #R13-94-National Unfunded Mandates Week Councilman Bell requested a correction to the minutes of the workshop. The minutes need to reflect that, -he was,. -present Motion was made by Councilman Jenkins to approve Consent Agenda with the noted correction. Seconded by Councilman Richardson. Motion carried. F' 3. Citizen's Input - None 4. Consider and Possible Action Regarding Ordinance #020-94 - Amending Cable T.V. Regulation Ordinance Motion was made by Councilman Richardson. Seconded by Councilman Jenkins. CITY OF BANGER, TEXAS ORDINANCE NO. #a2a-94 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MODEL CABLE TV RATE REGULATION ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Motion carried. 5. Executive Session Pursuant to Article 6252-17, Vernon's Civil Statutes, 2(g}, Personnel -Municipal Judge Council convened into executive session at 7:09 p.m. Council reconvened from executive session at 8:07 p.m. 6. Consider and Possible Action Regarding Executive Session Pursuant to V.A:I'.5. Article 6252-17, 2(g}, Personnel -Municipal Judge No action taken as a result of Executive Session. 7. City Administration Report City Administrator John Hamilton reported on the following items: a}. City Administrator reminded Council T.M.L. Conference is scheduled for Wednesday. October 26th, Saturday, to October 29th in Austin C: MINT TES lajs/ , PAGE 2 b}. Through September 29th, the total number of building permits issued is $2,519,618 with a total of about $65 ,4 as taxable. 8. Other Such Matters a}. Mayor Armstrong advised that residents are parking on both sides of the street on lC th. Mayor felt maybe only one side should be used for parking. Mayor stated No Parking Signs should be placed between Hughes and 'UVood on 1 Dth Street. It was noted that No Parking Signs were there already before the street was improved. 9. Meeting adjourned.
