AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANGER, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS,
AMENDING CHAPTER 3, ARTICLE 3.200, 3.300, 3.400 AND 3.500 AND
APPENDIX ARTICLE 3.101, AND ARTICLE 3.102, AND ARTICLE 3.103, AND
ARTICLE 3.104(b)(2) OF THE CITY OF SANGER CODE OF ORDINANCES;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS:
SECTION I
THAT CHAPTER 3, ARTICLE 3.200 AND APPENDIX ARTICLE 3.101, OF THE CITY OF
SANGER CODE OF ORDINANCES IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

Building Permits
All building permits for Residential and Commercial buildings will be. 3 0 cents per
square foot.
Other Inspections and Fees
(1) Inspections outside
of normal business hours
(2) Reinspection Fee
(3) Miscellaneous Inspections
(4) Additional Plan Review
(c) Other Permit fees
(1) Fence Permit
$25.00 per hour (Minimum $50.00)

(2) Replacement of water or sewer lines,
driveways on existing structures $25.00
All permits will be obtained by the licensed contractor only.
AND THAT CHAPTER 3, ARTICLE 3.300 AND APPENDIX ARTICLE 3.102 OF THE CITY OF
SANGER CODE OF ORDINANCES IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
3.102 Plumbing Permits

For New Buildings, Additions or Remodels the Plumbing Permit fee is included in the cost
of the Building Permit with the exception of Permits for Sprinkler Systems.
For additional installation of Plumbing Services into an existing structure the following will
be charged:

AND THAT CHAPTER 3, ARTICLE 3.400 AND APPENDIX ARTICLE 3.103 OF THE CITY OF
SANGER CODE OF ORDINANCES IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
3.103 Mechanical Permits
(1) Heating Units (each) $25.00
Including: Floor Furnace
Suspended, Recessed Wall, or Floor Mounted Unit Heaters
Updraft, Gravity, or Horizontal Units.
(2) Air Conditioning Units (each) $25.00
Including: Refrigeration Units
Cooling Units
Absorption Units
Evaporative Cooling Systems
Duct and Vent Systems
(3) Combination of Heating/Air Conditioning Unit $25.00
(4) Boilers $25.00
(5) Exhaust Fans $25.00
(6) Miscellaneous Permits $25.00
(7) Charge for Issuance of Permit $5.00
These fees include new units and/or change out existing units.
All permits will be obtained by the licensed contractor only.
AND THAT CHAPTER 3, ARTICLE 3.300 AND APPENDIX ARTICLE 3.104(b)(2) OF THE
CITY OF SANGER CODE OF ORDINANCES IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS
FOLLOWS:
(1) Electrical Permit Fees. The following information and fees shall be required prior
to the issuance of any permit required by this section:

Fees for Electrical work for Residential, Multi -Family and Commercial Buildings:
Additional or Change Out of Any Electrical Component $25.00
Charge for Issuance of a permit $5.00
For temporary Pole Service, there will be an additional charge of $60.00.
All permits will be obtained by the licensed contractor only.
SECTION II
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict,
hereby repealed.
SECTION III
It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council that the sections, paragraphs,
sentences, clauses, and phrases of this Ordinance are severable and, if any phrase, clause, sentence,
paragraph, or section of this Ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional by the valid judgement
or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the
remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, and sections of this Ordinance, since the same
would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this Ordinance of any
such unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section.
SECTION IV
This Ordinance will take effect immediately from and after its passage and the publication
of the caption as the law in such cases provides.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 15th day of October, 2001, by the City Council of the City
of Sanger, Texas.
