There was a lengthy discussion concerning the service agreement between RMI and
the City of Sanger. Issues addressed and concerns were the following:
1) Denton County Co -Op.'s interest in the system by paying for the study.
2) The pro's and eon's in regards to the study is if our system is not for sale.
3) Concerns in committing the City of Sanger to Denton County Co-®p for five
{ years.
Councilman Jenkins expressed his opinion in regards to the contract. He inquired
why do we have to pursue the study if the system is not for sale. What is the
purpose of knowing the value.
Councilman Richardson's concern was that if they pursued this study and then
somewhere down the road the next Council was not aware of this Council's intent
it could be sold, not realizing the prior Council's intentions.
Councilman Frazier expressed the same concern.
There was a discussion that the City might possibly pay for a study without having
Denton County Co -Op involved.
Council agreed that Councilman Richardson should ask the engineers with the City
of Denton for an opinion in regards to the study and if it could be done without
having a consultant.
