02/03/1992-CC-Minutes-RegularMINUTES: City Council Meeting February 3, 1992 MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Nel Armstrong, Councilwoman Margie Braxton, Councilman Wendell Thomas„ Councilman John Berndt, Councilman Jerry Jenkins and Councilman Tommy Kincaid OTHERS PRESENT: Crty Manager John Hamilton, City Secretary Rosalie Garcia, Electric Superintendent LarrSr Yoast, Public Works Superintendent Chuck Tucker, Police Chief Benny Erwin, and Eulalia Mode 1, Mayor Armstrong called the meeting to order, gave the invocation, and led the pledge to the flag. 2. Consent Agenda: a}. Approve Minutes b}. Disbursements Motion was made by Councilman Berndt .and seconded by Councilman Jenkins to approve disbursements for payment. Motion carried. 3. Citizen's Input -None 4. Briefing on Water Project -Upper Trinity Regional Water District Tom Tayor, Executive Director of Upper 'Trininty Regional Water District, briefed Council on the progress and proposed design of the project to bring lake water to Sanger and other cities in Denton report,propose design and cost estimates on these proposed improvements to Keeton Road following a letter of intent which will include acceptance of the City's engineering; report and funding of that report by Denton County. Seconded by Councilman Thomas. Motion carried. $. City Administration Report City Manager reported on the following: a). No progress report on the Marina from either Corps of Engineers or the Parks and Wildlife Report. b). The Upper Trinity Water District is beginning work to update the Master Plan for Wastewater Services for Denton County, c). Water samples have been coming bacl� okay and Public Works Superintendent Chuck Tucker has briefed his employees on the I mportance of cleaniness when taking the water samples. 1). Fire Inspector has finally caught up with fire inspection reports. 9. Any Other Such Matters: a}. Councilman Thomas complained concerning the cats in his neighborhood. b}. Councilwoman Braxton briefly reported on her meeting with Joe Spratt and Keith Newton of the Cemetery Association. This will be an agenda item at the next City Council Meeting. 14. Ad1 ournment.
