Mayor City Pro-Tem led Approve Minutes - Motion was made by Councilwoman Braxton that the minutes be approved as printed. Seconded by Councilman Kincaid. Motion carried. 3. Citizen's Input - None 4. Conduct Public Hearing Regarding Zoning Request or Charles Bittle to Change the Zoning from Agriculture to B-2 Commercial on Property Legally Described as Abstract 1241D, Tierwester Sheet 4, Tract 35, 105 Acker Street, Sanger Mayor Pra-Tem Jenkins opened the public hearing. No one spoke against this request. Mayor Pro-Tem Jenkins closed the public hearing. 5. Consider and Possible Action Regarding Zoning Request far Charles Bittle to Change the Zoning from Agriculture to B-2 Commercial on Property Legally Described as Abstract 1241D, Tierwester Sheet 4, Tract 35, 105 Acker Street, Sanger Motion was made by Councilwoman Braxton to approve zoning change from Agriculture to B-2 Commercial on property legally described as Abstract 1241D, Tierwester Sheet 4, Tract 35, 105 Acker Street, Sanger. Seconded by Councilman Kincaid. Motion carried. 6. Conduct Public Hearing Regarding Zoning Request for Dorwin Sargent to Consider Preliminary Subdivision Plat, Freese Drive, Abstract Tract 1241, Lots 1-3, Block A, Sargent Addition Mayor Pro-Tem Jenkins opened the public hearing. Consider and Passible Action Regarding Zoning Request for Darwin Sargent to Consider Preliminary Subdivision Plat, Freese Drive, Abstract Tract 1241, Lots 1.3, Block A, Sargent Addition Motion was made by Councilman Kincaid to approve zoning request an a Preliminary Subdivision Plat, Freese Drive, Abstract 1241, Lats 1-3, Block A, Sargent Addition. Seconded by Councilman Madden. Motion carried. 8. Consider and Possible Action Regarding Authorization to Bid for New Backhae (Budgeted Item 92-93} Motion was made by Councilman Madden to authorize bid for new Backhae. Seconded by Councilman Kincaid. Motion carried. 9. Consider and Passible Action Regarding Authorization to Bid Bank Depositary Motion was made by Councilman Madden to authorize bid for bank depository. Seconded by Councilman Kincaid. Matian carried. 10. Consider and Possible Action Regarding Authorization to Bid Sale of Surplus 1978 Chevrolet Fire firtxck Motion was made by Councilwoman Braxton to authorize advertisement to bid Sale of Surplus 1978 Chevrolet Fire Truck. Seconded by Councilman Madden. Matian carried. 11. Consider and Passible Action Regarding Authorization to Bid For Heavy Equipment Services Motion was made by Councilman Madden: to authorize bids for Heavy Equipment Services, 1992-193. Seconded by Councilwoman Braxton. Motion carried. 1 �. Consider and Possible Action Regarding Authorization to Bid for Street Repair and Backfill Supplies Motion was made by Councilman Madden to authorize bids for street repair and backfill supplies. Seconded by Councilman Kincaid. Motion carried. 13. City Administration Report: a). The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is advertising in eight newspapers this weekend for proposals to contract a 175 slip marina at Pond Creek Access Site. Bid will be awarded by mid - December and hopefully, marina could be in operation by summer of 1993. b}. City Administrator advised that sin�e August 1, five single family residence permits have been issued. For the FY'91-92, nine single family permits were issued with total value of $373,000. c}. Bill Spore, our auditor, has begun the audit for 91-92 and it should be finalized by December. d}. On Thursday, 1{3-1-92, the Board of Adjustment rejected a variance for Johnny Looper to construct a new single family residence on Lot 5, Block 1 of the Snider Addition, 2034 Benjiman. e}. Mr. Hamilton mentioned that he had spoke with the Barriers Division and Texas License Bureau in Austin concerning the Swimming Pool Grant. It was verbally approved, now, we will just wait for the paperwork and, hopefully, bid this in November or December. 14. Any Other Such Matters: a). Councilman Kincaid stated that several people have asked him regarding Oak Street City Administrator advised that he talked to Don Hill this morning and it will probably be in the Spring since they won't have any equipment for chip seal in this area. Mayor Pro-Tem Jenkins asked if we can check this street to see if we can possibly improve it some. b}. Mayor Pro-Tem Jenkins asked status on fuel tank. City Administrator advised that evidently there had been an old tank in the area years ago which was replaced by the one we removed. However, the old one wars in bad shape. It was noted that the dirt has to be removed to a landfill that will accept it as required by Texas Water Commission. Discussion. 15. Weeting adjourned. bl. Approve Minutes Disbursements Motion was made by Councilman Jenkins to approve Consent Agenda with one correction to the minutes 14. �a�. 2nd sentence - to reflect Oak Street repairs. Seconded by Councilman Berndt. Motion carried. 3. Citizen's Input: Keith Newton with the Sanger Volunteer Fire Department addressed the City Council regarding a drawing for $50 Savings Bonds. Two students from each school, Elementary, Intermediate, and Middle School, are to be presented with this award. City Council drew the winning names.
