MINUTES: City Council Meeting
July 6, 1992

Public Works Superintendent Chuck Tucker, Police Chief
Benny Erwin, Garland Thornton, Jack Richardson, and
Betty Johnson -Sanger Courier
1. Mayor Fro -Tern Jenkins called the meeting to order. City Manager
John Hamilton gave the invocation which was followed by the pledge
to the flag.
2. Consent Agenda:
a.} Approve Minutes -Workshop Minutes cif 15/92, City Council
Minutes 5j 15/92, and Workshop Minutes C/29f 92
b.} Disbursements
Motion was made by Councilman Kincaid and seconded by Councilman
Berndt to approve Consent Agenda. Motion carried. -
3. Citizen's Input -None
4. Consider and Possible Action Regarding Authorization to Advertise
Bids for New Sewer Line -Cowling Road
Motion was made by Councilman Berndt to authorize the City
Secretary to advertise bids for new sewer line an Cowling Road.
Seconded by Councilman Madden. Motion carried.
City Manager advised that if the bid came in under $25,000, the
performance bond is not required.
5. Consider and Possible Action Regarding Appointments to Boards and
Commissions
Planning & Zoning Commission
Place 7 Jack Richardson (to complete a 1 year term of
Ken Howard)
Place 6 Mike Rosenberg
Place 2 Tenn Shaw {moved from Utility Board)
Place 4 Freddy Inman - Pending

Industrial Development Board
Jerry Jenkins as Mayor Pro -Tern
Allan Sweeney -Pending.
Motion was made by Councilman Kincaid to accept all appointments
excluding Freddy Inman and Allan Sweeney until a Later meeting.
Seconded by Councilman Berndt Motion carried.
6. Consider and Possible Action Regarding Ordinance #02-92, Amending
Section I, LQ2 and 3.(32, Personnel Policy
Motion was made by Councilman Berndt to adopt Ordinance #02-92
amending Section 1.D2 and 3.(12, Personnel Folicy. Seconded by
Councilman Madden. Motion carried.
7. Executive Session Pursuant to V.A.T.S. Article 6252-17 (g) - Personnel -
Police - �Tork Schedules
Mayor Pro Tem Jenkins convened City Council into executive session
at 7:2Ct p.m.

session at 8:29 p.m.

Mayan Armstrong presented Charles Kesseler with a plaque for serving
an the Planning and Zoning Garnmissian from 1986-1992.
Madan was made by Councilman Jenkins to approve all items on the
Consent Agenda. Seconded by Councilman Kincaid. Motion carried.

Term Financing -Acker Street Project
Madan was made by Councilman Jenkins to approve Resolution
#R6-92. Seconded by Councilman Berndt.
