1. Mayor Armstrong called the meeting to order, gave the invocation
which was followed by the pledge to the flag.

Motion was made by Councilman Jenkins .and seconded by Councilman
Madden to approve Consent Agenda Motion carriecL
3. Citizen's Input:
Chief of Police Benny Erwin introduced Cynthia +Valler as the newest
police officer hired into the Police Department
4. Presentation and Possible Action Regarding oposaommun
Prl for City
Garden - Mr. Dave Gray
Dave Gray introduced himself and addressed City Council regarding
support for a Community Garden in Sangea-. Mr. Grays objective for
this proposal was to provide tilled and usable garden space and
gardening assistance for the elderly and needy in the Sanger
Community. While at the same time, provide a means for Sanger
residents to recycle grass clippings and leaves.

Each participant will be provided a 15` X 15` plot with the Community
Garden.
There would be a community compost program.
The property for this project is across Railroad Avenue that the City is
Leasing from Santa Fe.
Council also agreed that they would do this project this year with the
understanding that they will renew next year if it is successful.
The City would furnish the land and the water.
Mr. Gray stated there would be precautions taken so it would not
became a dump area. Mr. Gray also would be responsible for pulling in
volunteers from other areas of the City.
Motion was made by Councilman Madder. to approve the request to
use the Railroad property as a Community Garden Project under the
direction of Dave Gray. Seconded by Councilman Berndt Motion
carried.
5. Issue Call Order for Municipal Election -May 1, 1993
Motion was made by Councilman Jenkins to call the Municipal
Election for May 1, 1993. Seconded by Councilwoman Braxton.
Motion carried.
6. Appointment of Election Judges
Motion was made by Councilman Madden. to appoint �JVynema Schertz
as Election Judge and Louella tiiTard as Alternate and to authorize
Ms. Schertz to appoint one additional clerk. Seconded by Councilman
Kincaid. Motion carried.
7. Consider and Possible Action Regarding Denton County Usage of
Council Chambers for Special Elections, :May, 1993
Councilman Jenkins made the motion to grant Denton County's
request to use City Council Chamber for Special Election, May, 1993.
Seconded by Councilman Berndt Motion carried.
8. Consider and Possible Action Regarding Adoption of Ordinance #41-93
Amending Required Minimum Lot Sizes
Mayor Armstrong advised that awhile back when John was working
with the Subdivision Ordinance, he had found some conflicts in
subdivision lot sizes. For instance, in one section there would be lot
sizes and next section there would be square footage size and the two
would not correspond.
Discussion.
Motion was made by Councilman Madden. to adopt Ordinance #t? 1-93
and seconded by Councilman Jenkins.

9. Consider and Possible Action Regarding Ordinance #02-93 - Adopting
the 1991 Edition of the Uniform Building Code {UBC}

11. City Administration Report
City Administrator reported on the following:

delivered.

Mr. Hamilton stated the site is staked out for the pool.
f}. Mr. Hamilton reported that Animal Control will be on a twenty
four (24) hour basis now.
12. Any Other Such Matters
a}. Councilman Jenkins stated that even with the approval of the
contract on the marina, there is fixing to be another delay while
they go in and designate Wildlife and Refuge Area and the Game
and Fish Areas. It's going to take approximately another 120
days. They are also saying there wild be another impact study to
see what it does.
He asked if there was anything the City could do to two the
process by contacting the proper persons.
City Administrator advised that the people they used to work
with at the Corp are no longer there. Mr. Hamilton mentioned
that Michael Herring, the Director of TPWD, has been helpful
and he will try contacting him to see if he can help.
