Mayor Armstrong called the meeting to order.City Manager
John Hamilton gave the invocation Mayor Armstrong led thepledgetotheflag.

Disbursements:Motion was made by Councilman McNeill and
seconded by Councilman Jenkins to approve disbursements for
payment Motion carried

Consider and Possible Action on Proposed Land Exchange with
John Anderson and Ronnie Jones

Discussion.
Council advised Mr.Anderson that they wanted him to bear
the cost for the survey,title,and filing fees.
Motion was made by Councilman Jenkins to proceed with the
legal notice for the bid process on Acker Street property.
Seconded by Councilwoman Braxton.Motion carried
Consider and Possible Action to Adopt Resolution #R7-90
Authorizing Participation with the Upper Regional Water District
for Municipal Water Supply.
Discussion.

RESOLUTION NO.R7-90
A Resolution of the City of Sanger,Denton County,Texas,
Authorizing Participation with the Upper Trinity Regional
Water District For a Municipal Water Supply.
Motion was made by Councilman McNeill and seconded by
Councilman Jenkins to adopt Resolution #R7-90.Motion carried
City Administration Report
City Manager reported on the following items:
1).City Manager informed City Council that the Beautification
Committee,in an effort to determine Community interest,
will be sending a survey form regarding recycling to all
1,718 utility customers.

2).The lift station on Duck Creek Road had to have a pump,seal
and controls replaced at a cost of $3008.00.
3).City Manager discussed a telephone conversation he had with
Brad Denton at Centel was contacted regarding EAS.
4).City Manager asked that if Council still wanted the City to
participate in the VOE Program that the City could start,
the student working beginning Sept since funds were
available in temporary salaries for the remainder of
89/90 budget
Consensus of Council to proceed.
Any Other Such Matters:
1).Larry Yoast Electric Supt,reported on the Fire Damage
to the cab on the digger truck
Lengthy discussion.
Consensus of City Council for Mr.Yoast to pursue these two
options:1),to try and obtain more information on the
Lease/Purchase for a new digger truck and cost and/or
2).to try to find a rebuilt digger and obtain cost
2).Next City Council Meeting scheduled for Sept 4,1990.

7:50 p.m.

Session at 8:52 p.m.
Motion was made by Councilman Jenkins to offer the CityManagera24monthcontractwithanannualreview.Seconded
by Councilwoman Braxton.Motion carried
