BOX 578 SANGER, TEXAS 76266 Honorable Mayor &Members of the City Council John Hamilton, City Manager November 27, 1990 Proposed Marina - Lake Ray Roberts Today, Dwight Williford of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Planning Department, telephoned and stated that last week he met with representatives of the City of Dallas, City of Denton and Corps of Engineers concerning their recreational operations contract on Lake Ray Roberts. Mr. Williford believes that the contract will be signed in the next several days. Dwight also stated that Parks and Wildlife staff has interviewed bath parties that submitted proposals to construct and operate the marina and they are prepared to recommend one of the applicants once the operations contract is signed by the other entities. Because of a rule change at Parks and Wildlife, their Executive Director can now approve the awarding of the marina without Commission action. Parks and Wildlife staff is confident that they are only weeks away from awardinCS the marina project. Additionally, he stated that a Prospectus similar to the one on the Pond Creek site was to be offered in December for a possible marina site on the east side of the lake. Dwight stated that this would in no way effect the Pond Creek, Sanger Access, project. JH:es fl.m.)
