Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Sanger Utilities Board
September 18, 1987
CALL TO ORDER Meeting was called to order by Jack
Burkholder
ROLL All members were present.
NEW MEMBER New members Jeff Morris and Glenn Allen
were installed.
OLD BUSINESS Carrol McNeil and Steve Shutt discussed
the need to carry out the recommendation
previously made by the utility board to
raise the water fee from $1.20 to $1.40
for every one thousand gallons used above
the minimum 2000 gallons.
NEW BUSINESS Budget problems facing the city were
discussed by Carrol McNeil and Steve
Shutt. Some adjustment to the electric
system is necessary for future budget
stabilization.
MOTION The motion was made by Jack Burkholder and
seconded by Glenn Allen to raise the
sewage rate to $2.00 per residence and
$3.00 per commercial user.
MOTION The motion was made by Glenn Allen and
seconded by Jeff Morris to raise the
electric rate by four (4) mills.
MOTION The motion was made by Jeff Morris and
seconded by Francile Sullivan to support
the city council decision on tap fees.
MOTION The motion was made by Glenn Allen and
seconded by Jeff Morris to create a
utilities reserve fund to which 50% of
unpledged monies from all utilities will
be deposited at the end of the year.
MOTION The motion to adjourn was made by Jack
Burkholder and seconded by Glenn Allen.
