SANGER UTILITIES BOARD
The Sanger Utilities Board met at City Hall on May X9, 1984.
Members present were Herbert Arledge, Carroll McNeil, Jerry
Jenkins and John Coker. Ralph Cole was absent.
The Board sat in on a special City Council meeting that
heard a request from Lone Star Gas for a rate increase for
Sanger.
After the Council Meeting the Board -held its monthly meeting.
Officers were selected as follows:
Herbert Arledge Chairman
Carroll McNeil Vice -Chairman

Jerry Jenkins Secretary
John Coker Parliamentarian
Length of term of all Board Members was determined by a
drawing. The results are as follows:
John Coker 4 year term
Carroll McNeil 4 year term
Ralph Cole 3 year term
Jerry Jenkins 2. year term
Herbert Arledge 1 year term
Ther next business discussed were the duties and guide lines
for the Utility Board. Mayor Nel Armstrong and City Manager
Lloyd Henderson clarified some of the Board's responsibilities.
Chairman Arledge planned to meet further with city officials
in the coming weeks and report back to the Board at the next
monthly meeting.
