SANGER UTILITIES BOARD
The Sanger Utilities Board met at City Hall on January 28,
1985. The meeting was called to order at 6:15 PM.
Members present were Herbert Arledge, Carroll McNeill and
John Henry. John Coker and Jerry Jenkins were absent. Also
present were Lloyd Henderson, Jerry Don Lynn and Don Giger
of the Denton Record Chronicle.
Minutes of the last meeting were not available due to the
absence of the board secretary.
Mr. Henderson passed out copies of the monthly budget
report for Sanger Electric through December 1984.
The Board discussed the sewage system and treatment plant.
Lloyd Henderson discussed the present plant and proposal
for a new treatment plant and presented statistics on the
expected and actual growth of the City of sanger and the
ability of the system to handle said growth.
Next the Board discussed with Jerry Don Lynn the existing
problems of the sewage system, the present equipment and
manpower. Mr. Lynn pointed out that he and his three man
crew handle sewer, water, gutters, street repairs, mowing
and other miscellaneous jobs that arise.
The Board discussed the possibility of having an engineer
meet to discuss the future planning for sewage treatment.
A motion was made by John Henry and seconded by Carroll
McNeill that the board recommend the City Council approve
a budget of $ to study the sewage system development
for future use and proposals to pay for such systems. The
motion was approved by all members present.
Chairman Herbert Arledge called for a special meeting of the
Board for 6:00 PM February 6th, 1985 to discuss the sewage
system.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
