ORDINANCE NO. 02-08-03
THAT APPENDIX ARTICLE 4.02, SOLID WASTE COLLECTION FEES,
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS,
SHALL BE AMENDED TO INCORPORATE A RATE INCREASE;
PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Sanger, Texas:
Section 1. That Appendix Article 4.02 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Sanger,
Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 4.200 Solid Waste Collection Fees:

Residential Customers
Two pick-ups per week
Commercial Customers
One pick-up per week
(maximum one-96 gal container)
$9.30 per month
$79.65 per month
$2.00 shall be added to the above costs of service to each account to
cover city administrative fees and tree limb pick-up.
Container Services
(1) Three (3) yd. containers.
(i) One pick-up per week $41.91/month
(ii) Two pick-ups per week $72.02/month
(iii) Extra Pick-up $19.36/ each
(iv) $2.00 shall be added to the above costs of service to each
account to cover city administrative fees.
(2) Four (4) yd. containers.
(i) One pick-up per week $52.38/month
(ii)
Two pick-ups per week $90.12/month
(iii)
Extra Pick-up $23.02/each
(iv)
$2.00 shall be added to the above costs of service to
each account to cover city administrative fees.
(3) Six (6)
yd. containers.
(i)
One pick-up per week $72.02/month
(ii)
Two pick-ups per week $144.05/month
(iii)
Extra Pick-up $25.44each
(iv)
$2.00 shall be added to the above costs of service to
each account to cover city administrative fees.
(4) Eight
(8) yd. containers.
(i)
One pick-up per week $90.35/month
(ii)
Two pick-ups per week $163.67/month
(iii)
Extra Pick-up $44.71 each
(iv)
$2.00 shall be added to the above costs of service to
each account to cover city administrative fees.
(5) Thirty
(30) A. containers.
(i)
Commercial user.
(A) Rent $74.13/month
(B) Delivery $92.65/month
(C) Pick -Up $379.75 each
(D) $2.00 shall be added to the above costs of
service to each account to cover city
administrative fees."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the
extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
Section 3. It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council that the
sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses, phrases and words of this Ordinance
are severable and, if any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section of
this Ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional by the valid judgment or
decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality shall not
affect any of the remaining portions of this Ordinance, since the same would
have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this
Ordinance of any such unconstitutional word, phrase, clause, sentence,
paragraph, or section.
Section 4. Any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate any of the
provisions of this article shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
shall be fined in accordance with the general penalty provision found in Section
1.109 of this Code.
Section 5. This ordinance will take effect immediately from and after its
passage and the publication of the caption, as the law and Charter in such cases
provide.

February, 2003 by the City Council of the City of Sanger, Denton County,
Texas.
