RESOLUTION NO. 2022-07
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS,
APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE BOARD OF MANAGERS OF THE DENCO
AREA 9-1-1 DISTRICT; AUTHORIZING ITS EXECUTION, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, On March 31, 2022, the Denco Area 9-1-1 District requested municipalities
to nominate a representative to the district board of managers for the two-year term beginning
October 1, 2022; and
WHEREAS, Section 772, Health and Safety Code, provides that two voting members of
the Board of Managers of an Emergency Communications District shall be appointed
jointly by all cities and towns lying wholly or partly within the District; and
WHEREAS, The Denco Area 9-1-1 District requests that each municipality vote for one
of the candidates and advise the district of its selection; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the passage of this Resolution is in the best interest
of the citizens of Sanger.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANGER, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitals set forth in the preamble of this resolution are hereby
found to be true and correct.
SECTION 2. The City of Sanger hereby VOTES TO APPOINT Jim Carter as a member
of the Board of Managers of the Denco Area 9 -1-1 District for the two-year term beginning
October 1, 2022.
SECTION 3. That this resolution shall become effective from and after its date of passage.
