09-16-05-Ordinance-Personnel Policies Expense Reimbursement-09/19/2005CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS ORDINANCE No. 09-16-05 THAT CHAPTER 9, ARTICLE 9.200, "PERSONNEL POLICIES ADOPTED" (7.7 EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT IN "EXHIBIT A") OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, IS HEREBY AMENDED TO PROVIDE FOR EXPENSE REIMBUSEMENT POLICY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS: Section 1. That Chapter 9, Article 9.2 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Sanger, Texas, (7.7 Expense Reimbursement in "Exhibit A") is hereby amended to read as follows: 7.7 Expense Reimbursement You must have your supervisor's written authorization prior to incurring an expense on behalf of the City of Sanger. To be reimbursed for all authorized expenses, you must submit an expense report or voucher accompanied by receipts and approved by your supervisor. Please submit your expense report or voucher each week, as you incur authorized reimbursable expenses. In order for the City of Sanger to keep records and accounting accurate and current, please submit your expense reports in a timely fashion. If you are asked to conduct the City of Sanger business using your personal vehicle, you will be reimbursed at the rate of forty-one and one half (41.5) cents per mile. Please submit this expense on your weekly expense report or voucher. When away on business, the City of Sanger will reimburse employees for meals to a maximum of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) per diem. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. Section 3. It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses, phrases and words of this ordinance are severable and, if any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section of this ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining portions of this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such unconstitutional word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section. Section 4. This ordinance will take effect immediately from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED this 19th day of September, 2005, by the City Council of the City of Sanger, Texas.
