ORDINANCE NO. 11-18-05
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX A,
SECTION 4.1100 "WATER SERVICE RATES" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
TO PROVIDE FOR A SCHEDULE OF WATER RATES; PROVIDING FOR THE
REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS:
Section 1. That Appendix A, Section 4.1100 "Water Service Rates", of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Sanger, Texas, is hereby amended, in part, as follows:
"Sec. 4.1100 Water Service Rates
(a) The rates to be charged by the City for water services for residential customers are hereby
established as set forth below:
$15.25 Minimum per unit served for 0-1,000 gallons
$2.35 per thousand gallons
1,001 - 4,999 gallons
$2.60 per thousand gallons
5,000 - 14,999 gallons
$3.05 per thousand gallons
15,000 - 29,999 gallons
$3.90 per thousand gallons
30,000 + gallons
(b) The rates to be charged by the City for water services for commercial customers are hereby
established as set forth below:
$18.00 Minimum per unit served for 0-1,000 gallons
$2.75 per thousand gallons
1,001 - 4,999 gallons
$3.00 per thousand gallons
5,000 - 14,999 gallons
$3.25 per thousand gallons
15,000 - 29,999 gallons
$4.00 per thousand gallons
30,000 + gallons

Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict hereof are, to the extent of such
conflict, repealed.
Section 3. It is declared to be the intention of the City Council that the sections, paragraphs,
sentences, clauses, and phrases of this Ordinance are severable and, should any of the same be
declared null or void by any court of competent jurisdiction, such action shall not affect the
remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, and sections of this Ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be effective immediately from and after its passage, provided
that the water rates set forth herein shall become effective on December 1, 2005.

City Council of the City of Sanger, Denton County, Texas.
