1. Mayor Cole opened the meeting and reviewed with council the
Sanger Electric System summer and winter rate schedule.
Discussion.
Motion was made by Benny Bridges to keep the system on Summer
rates and to review the rates at the first council meeting
each month. Carolyn Adkins gave the second. Voted unan.
2. Council adjourned for a workshop meeting to work on the agree-
ment with Brazos Electric Cooperative.

MINUTES: City Council
November 21, 1983
PRESENT: Lloyd Henderson, Mary Jo Stover, Narcisso Cano, C. G. McNeill,
Debbie McGuire, Linden Burgess, and David Ami.aga.
1. The minutes of the November 7 and November 14, 1983 meetings were
approved as printed.
2. Thomas made the motion to approve disbursements in the amount of
$4,239.27. Spindle gave the second. Voted unan. j
3. Motion was made by Spindle to approve Sanger Electric Capital Improve-
ments in the amount of $6,320.26. Thomas gave the second. Voted unan...
4. Mr. Linden Burgess and Mr. David Amiaga with the State Highway
Department met with Council to discuss speed limits on FM 455 and
Loop 138. Mr. Burgess stated that speed limits within the city
were not regulated just by City Ordinance. The city recently
requested a speed zone study be done on Loop 138 (5th Street)
and FM 455. Burgess told Council that 85% of the people who
use the roadways set the speed limits. The speed study is taken
in the off peak hours (not during going to work, or coming home
from work type hours). The study was done for a period of six
