06/21/1982-CC-Minutes-RegularMINUTES: City Council June 21, 1982 PRESENT: Mayor Ralph Cole, Benny Bridges, Danny Spindle, Wendell Thomas and Carolyn Adkins OTHERS PRESENT: Lloyd Henderson, Mary Jo Stover and Anne Kyle 1. The minutes of the June 7, 1982 meeting were approved as printed. 2. Disbursements in the amount of $1,951.36 were approved on a motion by Danny Spindle. Wendell Thomas gave the second. Voted unan. 3. Motion to approve the Sanger Electric Capital Improvements was made by Danny Spindle after questioning Item No. 7 on the state- ment. Thomas gave the second. Voted unan. 4. Motion was made by Benny Bridges to re -appoint the following Planning and Zoning Commissioners: Place 2 - Jimmy Frazier Place 4 - Willard Bounds Place 6 - Bill Enlow Second was given by Wendell Thomas- Voted unan. 5. It was unanimously agreed by council to change the next regular Monday meeting (July 5)to Tuesday (July 6) because of the July 4th holiday. 6. The Service Agreement for 1982 with Governmental Service Agency was .approved on a motion by Thomas. Spindle gave the second. Voted unan. 7. Motion was made by Thomas to appoint the following city officials to be the City of Banger's nominees for the 1983 TML State Legislative Program. Personnel__ - Carolyn Adkins Community Development - Lloyd Henderson Finance & General Municipal Affairs - Danny Spindle Bridges gave the second. Voted unan. 8. Motion was made by Danny Spindle to terminate Texas Water Develop- ment Board's request to purchase $150,000 City Sewer Bonds @ 7% interest. Thomas gave the second.. Voted unan. 9. Spindle made the motion to approve the purchase of a 36" 7 speed 11 Hp. Roper riding mower for $1,068.00 from the White's Auto Store in Sanger. Inman gave the second. Voted unan. 10. Motion was made by Wendell Thomas to adopt Ordinance No. 82-3 amending the Electrician License Fee. Benny Bridges gave the second. Voted unan. ORDINANCE N0. 82�3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3, SECTION 5 OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BANGER, TEXAS ENTITLED LICENSE FEES TO PROVIDE FOR A FEE OF $100.00 FOR AN INITIAL MASTERS ELECTRICIAN LICENSE AND $20.00 FOR THE INITIAL JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN LICENSE AND $10.00 FOR A HOMEOWNER ELECTRICIAN LICENSE; AND $20.00 FOR A MASTERS RENEWAL FEE, $5.00 FOR A JOURNEYMAN AND HOMEOWNER RENEWAL FEE; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL. OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION. 11. Motion was made by Benny Bridges to adopt Ordinances 82-4 amending the Trailer Coach Service and Inspection Fee. Wendell Thomas gave the second. Voted unan. ORDINANCE N0. 82-4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3, SECTION 7D OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BANGER, TEXAS ENTITLED TRAILER COACH SERVICE AND INSPECTION FEE TO TERMINATE THE TRAILER COACH SERVICE AND INSPECTION FEE; PROVIDE FOR REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION. 12. Other Such .Matters: A. Councilman Bridges requested information regarding rock and debris along the fence of Mr. Glenn in the Gateway Addition.
