B. City Secretary was advised to have City employees put up a
blockade at the end of Freese Drive where Bruce Anthony's
subdivision ends and at the South end of the proposed exten-
sion of Freese Dr, where it joins with Old Highway 77,
C, Moving expenses for the new City Manager was discussed and
it was .motion by Cooper and seconded by McDaniel that it
be Council policy to pay two weeks salary toward moving
expenses. Voted unanimous,
D, Mr, Coker requested that the City Secretary call Main
LaFrentz & Co., auditors to get their pros and cons in re-
gards to moving the accounting books of Sanger Electric
from Waco to Sanger and why checks couldn't be written from
the Sanger office instead of through the Waco office,
E® '.'�Ir. Coker requested the City Secretary to furnish the Council
with a list of the money we have on deposit and what it is
designated for.

1. The minutes of March 7, 1977 were approved as written.
2, The Council received 3 bids on the new Jf8 ton truck® They are
as follows ® Nolan -Williams Chevrolet, Inc. ��3909, 07 } g 'l�-arler
Ford Mercury 3993.04), Hilz Ford Sales (4�4,075.11). No action
was taken on the bids. Council felt that the Water Supt, should
check the specifications on each before action was taken and a
bid awarded,
3 ® Mr® Joel Males, representative of Midwest Tank Co., Inspected
the overhead tower and reported his finding to the Council®
The roof hanger bolts need repla^ing and the interior of the
tank needs cleaning, Mr. Males explained that his company
would replace the roof hanger bolts and clean the tower at
the cost of $300.00 per day, not to exceed days. He said
the outside of the tank needed to be sand blasted, with one
coat of primer and one coat of aluminum put on at a cost of
$7,256.00. Cooper made the motion to replace the roof hanger
bolts and clean the interior of the tower, Coker seconded.

�. Zoning Case Z-31, Petition of John Porter® Coker made the'
motion to accept the recommendations of the Planning and
Toning Conmission to rezone that porn on of Tract IO�B, h,
m erwester now zoned Single Family to Local 'detail, and the
zoning of Tract 106A „ N, Tierwester to remain Light Industry
and those portions of Tract 106B., H. Tier ester now zoned
Local Retail and Light Industry to remain as zoned. McDaniel
seconded. Unanimous vote,
5. The Amtrak Resolution was not available at the meeting. Mayor
Cole explained that a passenger stop was need Denton County
and Sanger is the last City before the tracks split.. In order
to board the train now it is necessary to go to Gainesville or
Fort `forth. There is a condition if Sanger is accepted in that
we will page an area type platform 20' X 200 yds. The Chamber
of Commerce has agreed to fix up the inside of the depot. Ralph
requested that he have authorization to approve the resolution
and the Council would be given a copy of what was submitted.
Cooper wade the motion to approve the resolution to provide
service to this area and Thomas Moore seconded. Voted unanimous,
6. The attached policies for Sanger Electric System were approved
on a motion by Cooper, seconded by Enlow, voted unanimous,

unanimous to sign the Maintenance Agreement with Pitney
Bowes on the 358 copier. The annual charge is $208.00
for a year's service and parts.
b. Mr. Horstman and Mr. Ward were at the meeting to answer
any questions the Council might have regarding the Gas
Rate Increase. The gas company is requesting a 20.47%
Increase. A discussion followed about rates and gate
rates etc. The Council requested that EEG advise them
of the construction cost spent in Sanger for 1976. No
action taken®
c. Electrical Inspection Fees- It was motioned by Cooper,
seconded by nlow that the charge for an electrical
inspection commercial or residential be based on lf2
cent per square ft. with a $15.00 minimum and a rein-
spection fee of $10.00. Voted unanimous.
da It was discussed that Pierce Moore would be unable to
put an ll' door in the Fire Station Storage and it was
agreed that 3 (12, X 101) doors would do.
e. It was agreed that Selman ?Floss could continue to mow -the
park,

® City Secretary was advised to tell John L. Sullivan to
proceed with quitclaim, Also, that Gray Shelton would
be willing to help with the tax suits. His charge for
service would be 15%.
