12-94-Resolution-12-94-Resolution-Make A Difference Week-09/19/1994CITY OF BANGER, TEXAS RESOLUTION #R12-94 'MAKE A DIFFERENCE WEEK' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANDER, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, DESIGNATING THE FOURTH WEEK OF OCTOBER, 1994, AS 'MAKE A DIFFERENCE WEEK' IN DENTON COUNTY SO THAT CITIZENS MAY BE ENCOURAGED TO DONATE NEEDED ITEMS FOR DELIVERY TO THOSE LESS FORTUNATE. WHEREAS, there are countless Americans throughout this bountiful country that are without the most basic needs, and WHEREAB, USA TODAY and WEEKEND newspaper through the Points of Light Foundation are focusing national attention on these needs; and WHEREAS, Americans throughout the country will participate in events to assist the less fortunate in order to "Make a Difference" in their lives; and WHEREAS, the citizens of Sanger desire to join with their fellow Americans in "Making a Difference". NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sanger City Council, Denton County, Texas, declares the fourth week of October, 1994, be set aside to help those less fortunate. Citizens are encouraged to place needed items (used coats and blankets, canned goods, etc.) in "Drop Boxes" located for that purpose throughout the community at city halls, businesses, churches, schools and other locations where people gather.
