14-94-Resolution-14-94-Resolution-458 Telephone Exchange, Petition For Expanded Toll-Free Local Calling Areas-10/17/1994RESOLUTION #R14-94 STATE OF TEXAS ) BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGER ) CITY OF BANGER, TEXAS A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGER, TEXAS, REPRESENTING THE INCORPORATED AREA OF THE 458 TELEPHONE EXCHANGE, FULLY SUPPORTS A PETITION FOR EXPANDED TOLL -FREE LOCAL CALLING AREAS. WHEREAS, the petition is to provide Expanded Toll -Free Local Calling pursuant to Public Utility Commission Substantive Rules Chapter 23; and WHEREAS, the petition i listed within the local area of a Exchange, thereby allowing all exchanges to be local calls; and s for the purpose of including the exchanges radius of 22 miles from the 458 Telephone calls between the petitioning and petitioned WHEREAS, with the signing of the petition the subscribers are stating that a maximum fee of $3.50 for residence and $7.00 for business would apply, in addition to the local monthly telephone service rate, for two way Expanded Toll -Free Local Calling; and WHEREAS, the fee will be in effect until the telephone company's next general rate case, at which time the rates are subject to change; and WHEREAS, in addition to requesting approval of this service the Gity Council authorizes Larry Yoast to act as spokesperson in any proceedings before the Public Utility Commission of Texas, dealing with this service: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of Sanger, Texas: The City of Sanger, Texas requests the Public Utilities Commission of Texas authorize the Balloting of Telephone Customers in the 458 Telephone Exchange to determine their desire for Expanded Toll -Free Local Calling. As provided for in Part II Chapter 23 of the Substantive Rules of the Public Utility Commission of Texas, Customer Service and Protection, requiring 70% of returned ballots to support this request.
