WHEREAS; The City Council of Sanger, Texas wishes to serve
in the best interest of all the citizens of Sanger, Texas, and
WHEREAS; There has never been a minority group member of
the Council, and
4JHEREAS; The Councilmembers wish to insure that each person
on the Council is individually responsible to the electorate, and
WHEREAS; the Council wishes to encourage minority participation
in the electoratl process, and
WHEREAS; The Council has determined that a place system of
election will provide for increased minority participation and
individual responsibility;
NOW THEREFORE BE TT RESOLVED that each member of the Council
shall be assigned a place on the Council; to wit,
Place 1 Henry Cooper.
Place 2 John W. Coker III
Place 3 Benny Bridges
Place L} J.P. Hampton
Place 5 Danny McDaniel
and in all elections each candidate shall state which place they
wish to run for.
