04-05-1982-Resolution-CM Act for & Behalf of the City Receiving Assistance from TX Parks & Wildlife-04/05/1982CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR ACTING FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SANGER IN DEALING WITH THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF PARTICIPATING IN THE TEXAS LOCAL PARKS, RECREATION, AND OPEN SPACE FUND; AND CERTIFYING THAT THE CITY OF SANGER IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE UNDER SUCH PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the Texas Legislature has Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Fpndsauthorized the ingsthe cTexas ildlife Department to provi Parks and W to political subdivde financial assistance urposesisions thereof, for outdoo ; and r recreation p WHEREAS, the Texas Legislature has enacted H.B. 233 and 1918 (Chapter 241 Parks and Wildlife Code allowing its ), for the purpose of political subdivisions located within standard metropolitan statistical areas to as established, or such other participate in such program established b programs as are hereinafter y the State of Texas; and WHEREAS, the City of Sanger i assistas fully elnce under this program; and igible to receive WHEREAS, the city council of Sanger authorizing its administrative staff toxrepIs resedesirousnt and o of the city in dealing with the Texas Parks and Wildlife - ment concerning this program; Depart- p t NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE rTMV COUNCIL OF OF SANGER, TEXAS; THE CITY SECTION l: That the city hereby certifies that the assistance under the Texas Space Fund enacted by H.B. and Wildlife Code), council of the City of Sanger, Texas, City of Sanger is eligible to receive Local Parks, Recreation, and Open 233 and 1918 (Chapter 24, Parks 1 SECTION 2: That the city council hereby authorizes and directs its city manager to represent and act for the City of Sanger in dealing with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the purpose of this program. The city manager is hereby officially designated as the city's representative in this regard. SECTION 3: That the city council hereby designates its city manager as the official authorized to serve as the city's fiscal officer to receive state funds for purposes of this program. SECTION 4: That the city council hereby specifically authorizes the city manager to make application to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department concerning the tract of land to be known as Switzer Park in the City of Sanger for use as a park site. Switzer Park is hereby dedicated for public outdoor recreation purposes. INTRODUCED, council of L982. .
