02/21/1949-CC-Minutes-RegularThe City Council met in a regular session on this date, members present
were--- E.M.Acker H.D.Cooper-- E.E.Pate- with Mayor H.B.Toon presiding.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
The first business for the council to attend to was adppting of an election
ordinance,for the purpose of calling an election to be held min the first
tuesday in April-thatday being April-5th-1949,caused by the expiration of
the terms of- E.E.Pate--H.D.Cooper--A.J.Brown as councilmen- then H.B.Toon
Mayor. This ordinance was made possible by a motion.made by H.D.Cooper &
seconded by E.M.Acker. Carried.
The Ordinance Reads.
An election is hereby called to be held in The City Hall of The City
of Sanger, Texas, on the first tuesday in April 1949, same being the
5th-day of April, --for the purpose of electing threecouncilmen-and a
Mayor caused by the expiration of thier terms. The councilmen are
E.E.Pate-- H.D.Cooper-'- A.J.Brown. The Mayor H.B.Toon.
At this same meeting Bud Gentle was appointed judge of. the election.
Next was an assessor to be appointed for 1949- after a talk on the
matter a motion was made by- E.M.Acker and sec. by E.E.Pate that T.P.
Vaughn be appointed. This carried.
No other business to attend to a motion was made by H.D.Cooper and
sec. by E.E.Pate that the council ajourn. harried.

The City Council met in aregular session, members present were- C.Ft.
Chapman- H.D.Cooper-- A.J.Brown-- & E.E,.Pate. With Mayor H.B.Toon
presiding. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
The first business to attend to was the reading of the monthly billsg
after being read a motion was made by®- H.D.Cooper and sec. by A.J.Brown
that the bills amounting to 3430.14 be allowed and ordered paid.
This motion carried.
Different things of interest to city was talked on by Mayor• and council,
mainly- Fire Dept- equipment etc.
No other business to attend to a motion was made by E.E.Pate and sec
by H.D.Cooper that the council ajourn. This carried.
