The City Council met in, regular session on the above date.
Those present were Mayor H B Bailey, Councilmen C R Chapman.
M Acker, H D Cooper, and J P Hampton.
The minuets of the previous meeting were read and accepted_
by the council® The monthle,y Bills were read® Cooper made
the motion to pay them. Hampton seconddit, motion carried.
Mr Huffhines made his report on the Audit of the Books. It
was agreed that he be paid in the amount of ti'050a o The sellli-ig
of the City hots was discussed and Nov. 1, 1949 was seat as the
deadline for all .Bids to be in. J P Hamnton made the motion
to hire B J Ready as permant City Secretaryg whose was hired,
temporilary in June 1949. Cooper second the motion® Motion
carried® Cooper made the motion to hire King as Permant Flectrians
Hampton secondd it® Motion Carried® It was agreed to send out n
notices on deliquin.t taxes. Cooper made the motion to adjure®

Those present were H B Bailey, Councilmen J P Hampton, Roy Spratt
H D Cooper, E M Acker and C R Chapman. The minuets of the
previous meeting were read and. accepted. by the council® Tie
monthely bills here read and Cooper trade the motion to pay all.

Mr Cieb and Mr Calvert, F:rl�ineers from Dallas were here to discuss
possibi,l.itwes of a survey of our Plant and Distur^bution s,ystem..
The Council agreed to have them come and make a plimanry survey
and meet with the Council at a later date to discuss this matter
more throughly. IVT-r Bob Kiang and. Leroy Kemp also met with the
Council to discuss the Lire Hazards in the business Distr..cts.
Kemp is to ask some of the businessmen not to burn trash on the
streets® Temp discussed. the Retirement Ins® Plan. for the Fire
Dept. and he also asked for 600 ft. of Fire Hose for the Dept®
The Sec. is to get prices on the Bose.
The' Bids for the City Lots were open and read. Mr Acker
made the motion that all bids be rejected_. Chapman seconed it,
motion carried. Sec. is to notify persons who summitted bids.
The Teasing of the City C'rourd's was discussed by t,hr., Council,
Cooper mado the motion. that Bailey, Spra.tt and Chapman be the
committie to check with the C)i.l_ man on this mattero Acker seconed
it, motion carried® Vr Cnaprlaan mentioned that the Sa.n h Fe had
some poles to sell. Cooper wi.11. check on. this.. J P Hampton made
the suggestion that some kind of slgrra.l should be arranged to warn
the people when the water is to be cut off. Cooper made the motion.
