A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING THE DATE,
TIME AND PLACE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARINGS ON THE PROPOSED FY 2014-
2015 BUDGET AND TAX RATE INCREASE OF 270 FROM THE CURRENT RATE OF
0.665 PER HUNDRED TO 0.6795 PER HUNDRED; DIRECTING THE CITY
SECRETARY TO POST AND PUBLISH SAID HEARING AS REQUIRED BY LAW;
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS
APPROVED COMPLIED WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS ACT AND DELCARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the proposed budget and tax rate increase of 2% from
the current rate of 0.665 per hundred to 0.6795 per hundred prior to its adoption as required by
Section 102.006 of the Texas Local Government Code and Section 9.04 of the City
of Sanger Charter; and
WHEREAS, any taxpayer of the City of Sanger may attend and participate in all such
hearings;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Sanger;
Section 1. That the findings set forth are hereby approved and adopted.
Section 2. That a public hearing on the proposed budget for FY 2014-2015 and tax rate
is hereby set to be held on August 18, 2014 at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chambers located at
502 Elm Street, Sanger, Texas 76266. The second public hearing for the tax rate will beheld on
September 2, 2014 at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chambers located at 502 Elm Street, Sanger,
Texas 76266
Section 3. That the City Secretary is directed to post and publish notice of the public
hearing on the budget as required by law.
Section 4. That the meeting at which this resolution was passed, was in compliance
with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.
Section 5. That this resolution shall become effective after its passage.

3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Calcma Auction will
begin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday night. The Cooks

PROPERTY TAX RATE FOR
CITY OF SANGER
A tax rate of $0.679500 per $100 valuation has been proposed by the
goveming body of C[TY OF SANGER. This rate exceeds the lower of
the effective or rollback lax rate, and state law requires that two public
hearings be held by the governing body before adopting the proposed tax
rate.
