MINUTES
Attendees: Amanda Ford, Erica Kaufman, Kandyce LaFleur, Judie Rodgers, Suzanne Sellers, Audrey
Tolle. (No members of the public attended.)
1. The meeting was called to order at 6:38 p.m.
2. The minutes of the December 8, 2020 Meeting were read. Suzanne Sellers moved to accept.
Erica Kaufman seconded the motion.
3. Library Director shared the Director’s Report. Director discussed the flooding of the library in
February due to burst pipes during historic freeze and recovery process, including library
reopening to the public on June 10, 2021. Discussion was held of how to recognize volunteer
Keith Klenke’s service in protecting and recovering technology after the flood. Board moved to
discuss the possibility of a Mayor’s proclamation or City Council Recognition.(Suzanne Sellers
moved to explore a proclamation; Kandyce LaFleur seconded the motion.)
4. Discussion Regarding Use of Google Drive in Preparation of Long Range Plan 2021-2025: Board
Member Suzanne Sellers discussed the establishment of a Google Drive folder for use in
preparing the Long Range Plan 2021-2025. The Google Drive folder will be accessible for viewing
by the public, but only Library Board members will be able to edit the document.
5. Preparation of Long Range Plan 2021-2025: The Board will continue to use the Long Range Plan
2016-2020 as a guide for the new Long Range Plan. The Board discussed the need for a new
community survey to be conducted before continued work on the Long Range Plan 2021-2025
can occur.
6. Future Agenda Items: Continue discussion of Long Range Plan 2021-2025. Revisit unattended
children policy.
7. Suzanne Sellers moved to adjourn the meeting. Kandyce LaFleur seconded. The meeting was
adjourned at 8:03 p.m.
Next Board Meeting will be July 27, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. Future meetings planned for October 5, 2021,
and November 30, 2021.
