MINUTES
Attendees: Amanda Ford, Erica Kaufman, Judith Rodgers, Audrey Tolle. (No members of the public
attended.)
1. The meeting was called to order at 6:43 p.m.
2. The minutes of the October 26, 2021 meeting were read. Erica Kaufman moved to accept the
minutes. Amanda Ford seconded the motion.
3. Library Director’s Report: The Library Director discussed the success of the Friends of the Library
annual book sale and silent auction, which brought in approximately $1,400.00. The Director reported
on the on-going repairs and possible remedies for water leaks from pipes in the attic, particularly
problems caused by freezing temperatures. The Director discussed library staffing shortages due to staff
vacancies and the resulting impact on the staff’s ability to offer fall programming, though the library
staff were able to participate in Safe Spook and were planning to provide several December programs in
conjunction with the Parks and Recreation Department and the Chamber of Commerce.
4. Approval of Long Range Plan 2021-2025: The Library Director presented the Final Draft of the Long
Range Plan 2021-2025 for approval by the Library Board. Erica Kaufman moved to accept the Final Draft,
and Amanda Ford seconded the motion. The Library Board members present unanimously approved the
Long Range Plan 2021-2025.
5. The Library Director presented the Library Board with the need to review and possibly revise the
existing Collection Policy for the library. The Library Director provided the Board with the existing policy
to be reviewed and discussed further at the first Board meeting in 2022.
6. Erica Kaufman moved to adjourn the meeting. Amanda Ford seconded. The meeting was adjourned at
8:48 p.m.
