The City Council met in a regular session on the above date at the
City Office® Those presents were Mayor Bailey, Council -men, Cooper.

Disciasslon was given on letti_ng 11r. Keith go as the City did. not, need
hi,m at the present time. A motion by Acker to relei.ve hrr. Keith from
his duties with. the city after this month of April 1,954. And use h.im
and pay him by the hour if he wanted to work, motion seconded by Cooper®
notion carried.
Cooper gave a,n. estimate of cost to repair and # V reworking the iald.
building, on the city l.ot, across from the City Office, now being occupied
by Mrq.BairdIs Bakery Co® The Duiiber bill estimated cost was oil 15900O,
labor by Clifford Baker estimated cost a90.0O® Other carpenters were to
be considered and an estimate gotten from them®
The Council disccused the possi.bili.tes of ra ,sl ng the water rate for
consumers, Several raisedi was consider, and tkr, a motion by Acker and
a second by Johnson to raise the present water rate to each consumer, a
flat -50 ¢ making the new .rate as follows m I.vainnimtun of 01"'75 .for the first
2000 gals of water, and -50¢ for the nanNvt 1000 gals, J100 for the next
1.000 gals of water,, .300' for the next 1.000 gals,,, and all over 5000 gals
at .200,'per thousand gals®
